The Best Italian Cuisine in the World Come to Moon Palace Resorts

What are the chances of getting a table at the world’s best restaurant this summer?

July, 2018

That would be zero! Just named the No. 1 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018 List, Osteria Francescana located in Modena, Italy is booked for more than four months in advance.

Luckily, for Moon Palace Cancun guests, they can get the next best thing.
In the latest example of edible excellence to grace the resort, world-renowned chef Massimo Bottura will bring his culinary talents to Moon Palace Cancun in The Osteria Francescana Experience this summer.

Massimo Bottura, the best chef in Italian cuisine visits Moon Palace Cancun

Bottura’s restaurant recently reclaimed the top spot on the prestigious list, after having initially won the honor in 2016.  The Three Michelin Star restaurant is known for its pop art inspired reinvention of classic Italian cuisine, in addition to the difficulties in securing one of its only 12 tables for a reservation.

On August 18 and 19, the Italian maestro will bring more than his delectable dishes to Moon Palace Cancun, as he presents an upscale dining experience that will have you twirling your fork around Capellini in your dreams for years to come.

Proceeds of this once-in-a-lifetime event will go to Food for Soul, Bottura’s non-profit organization that creates and sustains community kitchens around the world to raise awareness on the issues of food waste and social isolation.

This isn't the first time Palace Resorts' Moon Palace Cancun has brought the cream of the culinary crop to Cancun.  In 2017, Palace announced a partnership with world-renowned pastry chef, Antonio Bachour, offering a selection of his prize-winning desserts at all of Palace's oceanfront properties.

More recently, Spain's Michelin-starred chef Joan Roca hosted a unique two-night culinary experience exclusively at Moon Palace Cancun, gracing guests a taste of his award-winning cuisine. By the way, Joan Roca’s restaurant, El Celler de Can Roca, came in just behind Osteria Francescana as the No. 2 on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2018 list.

Offering unique celebrity chef experiences should come as no surprise when it comes to Moon Palace Resorts, considering a stay at the all-inclusive luxury resort is synonymous with a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. A vibrant mix of world-class dining options for every palate, guests can take their pick of unique dining venues with internationally trained chefs, guaranteed to entice and indulge.

For a night of refined fine dining, dress to the nines and let the pampering begin at Le Chateau at The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun where you can choose from a Parisian-inspired selection of innovative delicacies, including smoked duck and pear salad gently drizzled with red wine sauce and the succulent Pavé de bœuf grillé in redcurrant sauce.

When the craving for fresh sushi hits on vacation, Jade at The Grand is the spot to savor the fine art of Japanese cuisine with its contemporary Asian menu that goes way beyond a basic tuna roll. Whether its savoring miniature strips of wagyu on your very own ishiyaki volcanic slab, or reveling in an Asian-inspired lamb cutlet, guests can please their palate with tastes from the Far East at Jade, thanks in part to acclaimed Chef Teruo Yamamoto who boasts 40 years of experience executing authentic Japanese cuisine.

Longing for some authentic American fare? The Grand has you covered there, too. In the casual and familiar setting of JC Steakhouse, guests can satisfy a craving for steak and taters with a succulent steak paired with a comforting basket of fries, finished off with a slice of mouth-watering New York Cheesecake.

Even when grabbing a casual bite (or even room service) at Moon Palace Cancun, guests can expect to be delighted with exciting menus featuring only the finest local and imported ingredients. From Mexican cuisine at Los Caporales, where chefs put their unique twist on traditional local favorites, to fresh, locally sourced seafood delicacies at the poolside Pier 8, there’s something for every taste bud

Best resort and customer service!

Everything about this resort was perfect. The customer service is out of this world. I would like to thank Vanessa (hostess) and Raul Yepez (server). However, my family and I loved Agustin Escalante. He always remembered us and treated us so nicely.

We love it

Me and my wife spent our honeymoon in the Moon Palace in 2004. We fell in love with it. We have been going with our daughters. In June 2019, we went with my family and my wife sister's family and stayed at the Grand. It is huge and so much fun.
