From the moment you arrive at one of our resorts, we want you to feel truly welcome. That's why when you visit our properties, you’ll be hand-delivered a beautiful carnation flower from our own skilled florists as a warm gesture and appreciation for your visit. Yes, we have our very own dedicated flower power team at Palace Resorts, who literally see the world through rose-tinted glasses! In June 2018, we founded our in-house flower shop named Amada, which means “beloved”—just like that special person to whom you'd love to give a flower. Whether the occasion is a wedding, birthday, special date, anniversary, and of course, your arrival at any of our resorts, our expert florists take care of even the smallest details when it comes to flower arrangements. Here’s how it all comes together:

Amada has a special conservation chamber where, every week, more than 9,500 roses of different colors are stored. This is in addition to 3 carnation buds, as well as birds of paradise, tulips, lilies, peonies, orchids, and many more pieces of foliage such as dollars, clouds, and ferns. All of these variations jointly result in colorful bouquets, floral arrangements, and vibrant floral decorations for weddings, conventions, and celebrations that take place in our resorts along the Riviera Maya.

Our flowers not only originate from Mexico City but also from various other countries such as the Netherlands, the United States, and even South Africa. They arrive in colorful buds at Moon Palace Cancun, where they are cleaned, treated, and selected, all at room temperature, before entering the conservation chamber, where they will spend the next seven days maximum, at temperatures ranging from 44°F to 48°F.

When it is time to assemble the flower arrangements, they are taken out of the chamber to be tempered and selected so that when they reach your hands they are impeccable. During this process, they are interwoven with care, love, and much patience to create the floral design tailored to the occasion and in accordance with the request of our guests.

Each flower, color, piece of foliage, design, shape, and setting is threaded carefully by Amada to produce unique masterpieces. An example of the unique designs which are Made by Palace is this mandap that was created for one of our South Asian weddings, where our expert floral team spent 14 hours assembling the perfect setting for our beautiful newlyweds.

Choosing flowers is a special process that requires precision, patience, and skill. Our floral specialist, Juan Carlos is a certified florist with extensive experience in the care and maintenance of flowers. From a very young age, he's been in contact with flowers—as his family has dedicated generations to their cultivation. He grew up learning about the flowering process, the duration of each stage, and even their lifecycle. Thanks to his extensive experience, he's been able to successfully lead our team of 13 florists in preserving the essence of flowering and instill their talent into every creation.
